okay so if you've never been to one of these, i highly recommend you go to the next one in your area! it was so good! just what i needed! of course the girls night out before was what put the cherry on top! five of us girlie's got together and hit up a session at the temple friday night and then had a slumber party at the hilton. let's just say the night consisted of $30 worth of chocolate, arm wrestling and late night delirious laughter! love these girlie's! we then booked it over saturday morning to the time out for women sessions, so much fun!

So, I know I'm alittle late. But, I'm still gonna catch up! I had the best Mom's Day! It started with one of my BFF's being in town with her family. Then our day consisted of breakfast at Pipes (the best hole in the wall), playin at the park all day with both of my BFF's, and last but not least Cessy's on the beach for dinner! It was the best! During the fires we went down to AZ to visit family and get Gavers out of the smoke. We had so much fun! We took Gavin to the zoo and his first baseball game....all I can say is he was in Heaven!! His two favorite things! He got spoiled of course which we don't mind. Better Grandma and Grandpa spoil him then us!

Gavin's Second Halloween! Here he is as Superman with some of his friends, Cinderella and Nemo. Cute, huh? It didn't take him long to figure out how this whole process works. By the second house he was knocking on the door and holding out his hand, we couldn't get the bucket thing down. Anyways, he loved it and we had so much fun with him. Can't wait for next year, holidays are way better with kids!

so we just got back from our trip to utah, and we spent most of it in the urgent care! the night we got there gavers woke up at 3am and was up every hour from that point on. he had a crazy fever, was drooling like crazy and was completely out of it. so we took him to urgent care and he had strep throat, totally sad! so for the next 3 days we dealt with his lack of eating, his profuse vomiting and his explosive diarrhea.

THEN..............

josh decided to get sick as well!! so, back to the doctors for a shot in the bum. we ended up missing his friends wedding(the whole reason we went!) oh well, i think we'll be stayin away from utah for awhile!!! luckily this is how it ended!!

i just had a sad moment when i looked over at Gavers and realized he's going to be ONE soon!! i'm not gonna lie it completely bummed me out. everyone always tells you, "time goes so fast when you start having kids, one minute their crawlin around and the next their graduating from college." i now realize that that's completely true!

The BBQ's Begin

so the BBQ's have officially started! i love summer for this reason. hangin with friends, shoving your face with burgers, chicken and hot dogs(if you can manage to look past the ingredients!!) the only bummer is the heat! this is our first official family photo of the summer, and ladies don't be jealous of my thick arms!! heehee

the kids all had a blast as well, crawlin all over each other. all of these hoodlums are within 3 months of each other. they're so cute! gavers is gettings so big and interacting so much it's crazy! he does not seem like he's only 10 months old with his 4 top teeth, waving hi and bye, pointing to his nose, head, toes and mouth. it's crazy!! it's so much fun to watch them learn new things, i love being a mom!

Here's the pictures from my ULTIMATE poopy diaper experience!! This sucked!! For those who don't know the whole story this is what happened. Gavers and I were flying out to go see family in Utah. So that morning I'm backing our bags Gavers is just playing on the bed, and I start to smell the strongest poop smell. I take a look at Gavers and not only had he exploded out of his diaper, it was all over the bed and he was PLAYING in it!!!! These pictures don't do it justice! It was on his hands, face, legs, you get the picture. The joys of Motherhood!!!

so i just purchased this little plate and bowl set from the antique stores down in carlsbad and all i can say is that i'm Obsessed!!!! I love them! i'm now in the process of getting new dishes and decor for my kitchen based around this set!! i'm such a nerd!! my poor hubby!

Crazy Utah Trip!!!

So we just got back from our crazy last minute Utah trip!! We were all set to go to Utah on the 5th of June for my sisters delivery, but baby Jaxon had other plans! We got a call on Sunday the 27th that Nea went into labor! So, Gavers and I were on the next flight out. Our plane got in at 11:30 pm and Jaxon was born 4 hours later!!! Close call! Here's a picture of little Jaxon Jomei Duran, and yes Gavin is jealous of his hair!

So, after the whirl wind delivery, Gavers and I were able to just hang with the Fam. Did a little boating, played on the swings(Gavers loved it), watched cousin Brandon play baseball, and BBQ'd.

So, we've decided to enter the blogger world!! About time!! Can't promise that we'll be good at keeping up on it. Our lives are crazy busy, and seem to be getting busier!! Our little Gavers (or should I say BIG Gavers) is getting bigger! He just turned 8 months. I can't believe it! Time is flying. He's starting to crawl, still only has his bottom two teeth, but he's finally getting hair! YES! He's such a happy boy and so loving. We're so spoiled with him! I know our next kid is gonna be a terror. He's just been to good to be true!

We took our first Disneyland trip as a family! It was so much fun. Gavers just took it all in. I know that was just the first trip of many!! Lucky us!

Josh is doing great with work. Staying busy and working hard, because baby needs new shoes!! By that I mean me not Gavin! No seriously, Joshs business is doing great and growing. I'm loving motherhood and marriage. I think we forget that we've only been married a little over a year. Our lives went from zero to old!! We're definitely gonna be spending these next few years enjoying our little family and some overdue "newlywed" time!
